Galloway Golf was formed in 1969 by Ronnie L. Galloway MAI, SGA. Ronnie is a Charter Member of the Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA) representing a select group of MAI Members of the Appraisal Institute specializing in the valuation of golf assets. SGA memberships are awarded to MAI Members demonstrating expertise in golf course appraisal. Collectively, SGA members complete over 200 golf property engagements each year representing the single most comprehensive database and body of knowledge in the golf industry.

Ronnie's passion and enthusiasm for the game of golf transcends the ordinary expectations in the appraisal vocation. This is the driving force behind our commitment to the golf industry. Ronnie belonged to The 1998 and 2000 PGA Championship Course, Valhalla Country Club, prior to the PGA acquisition and maintains a course handicap of 13. He is also a member of a smaller private club, Owl Creek Country Club, having served on the Board of Directors. Our company founder is certainly an enthusiast of the game. Golf courses are extraordinarily complex, representing several trades: agriculture/ horticulture; food & beverage services; retail; club membership; and special event coordination, and providing an accurate reflection of the market value of a golf course requires an in-depth understanding of the intricacies learned only from varied experience. This understanding goes beyond a scientific analysis comparing sales of golf properties on a price per hole or GFM. There is a certain level of "art" that comes only from having completed over 75 golf course appraisals, brokering golf properties, and playing over 300 golf courses nationally and internationally.
